Assembly Engineering Assistant Manager

Candidate will direct and coordinate research and development activities to support and improve current manufacturing processes; new program launch of new tools and equipment for organizational products, services, or ideologies by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. Supervise and coordinate the creation and improved performance of automotive component manufacturing processes. This position reports directly to the Assembly Engineering Manager.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Training and support Engineering staff on: Creation and maintenance of all process documentation (Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, etc.). Design and develop new manufacturing processes, determine equipment requirements, review capacity for future projects, and specify or design new equipment as required. Work with outside vendors to ensure quality and delivery performance. Determine manpower requirements. Verify and improve performance through time studies and line balancing. Understand safety and quality requirements for new processes. Work closely with other departments (Design, Quality, Production, Maintenance, Etc.) to ensure reliable processes. Provide support and continuous improvement to existing manufacturing processes. Troubleshoot and countermeasure any machine or process problems. Communicates problems / solutions with engineering department to ensure same activity is avoided in other manufacturing areas. Perform yearly performance evaluations / maintain compliance to company guidelines. Maintain department project schedules. Approves time cards and vacation requests.

Requirements

  • 10+ years engineering experience in a high volume production environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from and accredited institution.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills; specifically Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Previous management experience preferred.

Injection Molding Team Leader

TAC Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking to fill a Team Leader position in our Injection Molding department. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of Injection Molding experience, experience in and the ability to lead a group of Associates, be able to handle multiple complex priorities, and must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate would also have a good working knowledge of kanban, TPS, kaizen procedures, and good computer skills.

This position will could be on either 2nd or 3rd shift. Candidate must be able to be flexible with hours, and may be required to change shifts with ample notice.

This is not an entry level position; this position requires the following experience:

Requirements

  • At least 2 years Injection Molding/Production experience, in a high volume manufacturing environment
  • At least 1 year of supervising production operators in a high volume manufacturing environment
  • Experience troubleshooting and finding root causes of production/quality issues
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level

Maintenance Technician

Candidate will maintain and keep production equipment running, as well as conduct predictive and preventive maintenance on production equipment and facilities. They will be responsible for repairs assigned that are typically of a complex nature and require a high degree of skill and thorough working knowledge of machine maintenance practices and techniques. Requirements

  • Journeyman card or previous maintenance experience required.
  • Experience with PLCs and machine troubleshooting.

Parts Production Engineering Assistant Manager

Candidate will develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.They will analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.Also, directs or conducts observation and analysis of personnel and work procedures to determine time-and-motion requirements of job duties. Another responsibility is to provide estimates of production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.They will review and analyze proposals submitted to determine if benefits derived and possible applications justify expenditures.

Directs or conducts observation and analysis of personnel and work procedures to determine time-and-motion requirements of job duties. Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Assists in reviewing and analyzing proposals submitted to determine if benefits derived and possible applications justify expenditures. Helps to develop department operational and expense budget. Composes performance evaluations for direct reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in an Engineering role
  • 2+ years of experience supervising engineers
  • Automotive experience highly preferred

Effective 4/02/2018, starting wage is $10.50 per hour, which increases to $12.00 per hour after one year of service.
